You can begin reading anywhere in a book simply by selecting the appropriate section in the table of contents pane of the books window.
To select the section you want to read:

If you have more than one book open, click on the book title tab to make that book active. This allows viewing of the table of contents for that book.

Locate the desired section using the scroll bars, to move around in the table of contents pane on the left side of the book window.

Expand one or more branches of the tree view, if necessary, to view the available sections.

Click the section title in the table of contents. The text of the selected section appears in the text pane on the right.
