4.8j - Parallel Gospels

The Parallel Gospels feature is QuickVerse’s built in harmony of the Gospels which allows you to view verses of the different Gospel events in the Bible simultaneously. Parallel Gospels is a great tool to read the Gospel events from the four Gospels in the same window.

To open the Parallel Gospels:

From the library pane, select Parallel Books

Select Parallel Gospels.  This uses the translation in your Preferences as the default Bible.

Select to view the Gospels either in vertical or horizontal configuration

1 Expand the Parallel Books Library option.
2 Select the Parallel Gospels view and open it to display in the Open Books Window.

On the Open Books Window Toolbar, click the Edit Current Book.  This opens a menu of available Bible translations.

Click in the selection box to the left of the translation that you desire to be used in the parallel display.

5 Click SAVE.  This automatically updates the displayed translations in the Open Book Window.

To Create a New Parallel View Option:

To create a new View option such as one for Four Bibles or a specific Parallel Gospel for a particular translation to be used as a basis for comparisons, you can right-click on the Parallel Books Library option and select "New Parallel Book".  This will bring up a menu of translations.  It gives you the option of re-naming it (the top of the menu).  Select the translation(s) to be included for this variation and click "Save".

To navigate through the Parallel Gospels:

From the Table of Contents in the Open Book Window, select a Gospel event.  QuickVerse will display, in the Open Book Window, all of the verses from the Gospels which contain the event.From the Table of Contents,
