Below is the Friberg tag structure for the connector tags and other symbols used for complex searches and analysis. Type the single character indicated for the applicable tag component.

& "And" - Indicates two tags joined together by a crasis.
^ "Used As" - Joins two tags when the first tag indicates the grammatical form of the word and the second tag indicates how the word functions in the context and, even more broadly, how it is to be used linguistically.
/ "Or" - Joins alternatives allowing the reader to choose based upon legitimate morphological options read in context.
! Signifies possible textual differences in accent, punctuation, or word separation.
+ Used to show a close relationship between words in a sentence, in the case of a verbal periphrastic or the unexpected location of an antecedent used in a relative phrase.
