Adding an Item is an important step.

Adding items to Word Organized books allows you to place several related topics under one broad topic. Example: under the topic Adversity you can enter titles such as Suffering, Trials, Problems, etc. |

Adding items to Verse Organized books gives you the opportunity to enter your own commentary or reference material or create Bible study lesson on verses that God is using in your life. |
To add an item under a topic in a Word Organized book,

In the TOC, right mouse click on your topic. Example: Adversity. A context-sensitive menu appears

Select Add Item. The Add New Item dialog appears
|

In the Item Title field, enter the title of the item you wish to enter. Example: Suffering
|

Click OK. The program will add the item title to the TOC
|

Click the Edit Section button on the User Book Window to enter text, or right mouse click on the Book window and select Design Mode from the menu that appears

To add a verse to your Verse Organized book,

In the Table of Contents (TOC), click the Plus icon (+) next to a Bible book to expand the TOC under it.
Example: click the plus icon (+) next to John

Locate a chapter, and right mouse click on it. The Context sensitive menu appears.
Example: John 3

On the Context sensitive menu, click on Add/Edit item. The New Item dialog appears

In the Caption field, enter the verse you want to add commentary on.
Example: John 3:5.

When this is completed, click OK. The verse reference is entered into the TOC

To place the book window in edit mode, click the Edit Section button on the Book window toolbar or right mouse click in the Book window and select Design Mode from the menu
