Your user book must be in Design Mode in order to print text.
To print text from your user book,

Click the Edit Section button on your user book window tool bar, or right mouse click and choose Design mode from the context-sensitive menu

Click the Print button on the Design Mode tool bar, or go to File menu and select Print
|

When done, click the Edit Section button on your user book window tool bar, or right mouse click and choose Design mode from the context-sensitive menu to remove your user book from Design Mode
