The .msi (Microsoft Installer) file configuration for QuickVerse on some customer's machines is corrupt and needs to be removed. Microsoft has built a utility that removes these conflicting files from the installer service. |
Resolution:
User needs to uninstall QuickVerse, run the MS utility, then re-install QuickVerse.
Procedure:
1. Uninstall QuickVerse:
a. Go into START>CONTROL PANEL>PROGRAMS>PROGRAMS AND FEATURES.
b. Locate QuickVerse 2009 in the listing and select Uninstall.
c. Close Control Panel window
d. To remove residual files left behind by the Windows uninstall, download and extract this ZIP file.
e. Right-click the extracted QV2009Removal.bat file and select "Run as Administrator"
3. Run the MS utility, look for QuickVerse in the utilities program list, select "Remove".
4. Install QuickVerse from the Hard Drive. Refer to "2.6 - Installation" to install QuickVerse manually.
